Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan believes that the industry needs bigger dreams rather than running after making 100 crores with their films.
At a press conference here on Thursday night, Shah Rukh said, “Rs. 100 crore is too less. To think of it is a limitation by itself. People who don’t understand films and creativity in films, they put our work in these boxes (of Rs. 100 crore clubs). I would want every film to do roaring business. If we have to establish a footprint globally. Rs. 100 crores is too less. I would want each of our films to make as much money as ‘Avatar’. At least 50 percent of it.”
He added that we are putting limitations to our capabilities by bounding our films in 100 crore cap. SRK’s films ‘RA.One and ‘Chennai Express’ fetched a good amount at the ticket window.
In SRK’s words, “It is a good base to start off business-wise, but I don’t think of business. I am a creative person. I think and I like to believe there is no limitation to creativity.”
His next film is ‘Happy New Year’ which is produced by his own production house ‘Red Chillies Entertainment’. It is directed by SRK’s close friend Farah Khan, is a multi-starrer one with loads of dance and music in it.
