After churning out sequels, Bollywood is now focusing on remakes of past Hindi hit films. Director Soham Shah is remaking Amitabh Bachchan’s Satte Pe Satta with Sanjay Dutt. Ace director Rohit Shetty has already bought the remake rights for Gulzar’s Angoor and Hrishikesh Mukherji’s Gol Maal and David Dhawan will remake Sai Paranjpe’s Chashme Baddoor.

Sanjay Kapoor, brother of Anil Kapoor, has purchased the remake rights of Ravi Tandon’s 1975 thriller Khel Khel Mein. The script work is in progress which is being written by Shibani Bathija who earlier penned Fanaa and My Name is Khan. The remake will be made under the banner of Sanjay Kapoor Entertainment Limited.

Sanjay Kapoor says he will decide on the director and the rest of the cast once the bouns dcript is ready. He plans to start production sometime during the middle of next year.

The film Khel Khel Mein featured Rishi Kapoor , Neetu Singh and Rakesh Roshan as college students, who play a prank and get involved with a notorious criminal. The film turns fast from fun and frolic to a taut thriller. The story has been adapted from the English novel “Good Children Don’t Kill” written by Louis Thomas.
