Sanghi's Chanakya's Chant to be adapted into film

The best selling novel Chanakya’s Chant authored by Ashwin Sanghi will soon be adapted into a Bollywood film. UTV Motion Pictures has bought the film rights of the novel.

A set of writers are commissioned to write the screenplay. The director for the film is to be finalized soon. Pre-production works are in progress.

The novel deals with two parallel stories. One is the account of the moves of political strategist Chanakya to make Chandragupta Maurya the emperor of Magadha in the 4th century, while the second stream deals with the present times where a Brahmin school teacher Gangasagar grooms a girl from slum to become India’s prime minister.
