Salman Khan seeks IPL Twenty20 franchise
Bollywood actor Salman Khan is quite eager to join the Indian Premier League (IPL) Twenty20 bandwagon. No one can say whether it is his sense of prudent investment or just competing with his rival Shah Rukh Khan.
Already Shah Rukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Preity Zinta own IPL teams and they have successfully used the IPL platform to further their business interests as well as for promotion of their films.
According to reports, Salman Khan met IPL Chairman Lalit Modi in Mumbai on August 26 and discussed the possibility of owning an IPL franchise.
Lalit Modi has already announced that two more teams will be available for taking on franchise for the IPL 2010 season.
