Corporate business trends have taken a firm root in Bollywood. With Hindi films becoming popular all over the world and getting good returns at the box office, media majors are vying with each other to buy the world-wide distribution rights of films which are still in the production stage.
First, there was news about Rakesh Roshan’s Kites starring Heithik Roshan and directed by Anurag Basu has been bought by Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group for Rs 120 Crores.
Then, there was news about Vipul Shah’s London Dreams, starring Ajay Devagan and Salman Khan, being sold for Rs 120 Crores to a media mogul Studio 18.
Now the news is that Eros International has purchased the distribution rights of Veer, starring Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra, produced by Vijay Galani and directed by Anil Sharma, for a whopping Rs 150 Crores.
The story of Veer has been written by Salman Khan himself and the actor plays the role of an Indian warrior fighting the British Raj.
