Russell Crowe to play Bill Clinton
Russell Crowe is reportedly all set to play the character of former US President Bill Clinton in a new biopic. The film, titled The Special Relationship will focus on Clinton’s dealings with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Michael Sheen, who played Blair in the 2006 released film The Queen, is reportedly set to take on the role again in the new movie.
Russell Crowe is an Academy Award, BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild Award winning Australian actor. His acting career began in the early 1990s with roles in Australian TV series such as Police Rescue and films such as Romper Stomper.
In the late 1990s, he began appearing in US films such as the 1997 movie L.A. Confidential. He has been nominated for three Oscars, and in 2000, he won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in the film Gladiator.
