South Indian Production company Pyramid Saimira filed a court case on actor Kamal Haasan for taking his fees in advance but not completing the film “Marmayogi”.
According to the petition Kamal was paid Rs 10.9 crore to do “Marmayogi” a year ago by Pyramid Saimira but the project was shelved for reasons not revealed.
Pyramid Saimira claims that Kamal had promised that first he would complete “Marmayogi” and then start work on any other movie. Contrary to the agreement, Kamal started shooting of ”Eenadu”, a Tamil-Telugu remake of Hindi film “A Wednesday” which is co-produced by his production house Rajkamal Films International and UTV International.
The petitioner Pyramid Saimira claimed return of the advance paid and also adequate compensation for not starting “Marmayogi”.
