"Roar: Tigers Of The Sundarbans" Nominated at MPSE Golden Reel Awards

In the 62nd MPSE Golden Reel Awards Indian film “Roar: Tigers Of The Sundarbans” has been nominated by the Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE). Designer Resul Pookutty the film’s sound designer is delighted.
The film, has found a spot in the Feature Foreign Language – Effects/ Foley/ Dialogue/ ADR category. It will be competing against “The Liberator” (Venezuela), “Uzumasa Limelight” (Japan)”Human Capital” (Italy) and “The Raid 2” (Indonesia).

On Friday Oscar-winning sound engineer Pookutty tweeted, “Guys big news: myself and Amrit Pritam nominated for the 62nd Golden Reel Award by #MPSE of America for best sound design for “Roar”! Wahhh!”
The awards will be announced at a ceremony at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles on February 15.
Pookutty and Amrit Pritam Dutta were the supervising sound editors and designers of the film. The supervising foley editor was Vijay Kumar.

Karnail Singh Virdi and Sajjan Chowdhry were the foley artists. Amrit, Kumar, Arunav Dutta and Abhishruti Bezboruah were the sound effects editors.
The film which revolves around tigers of Sundarbans is directed by Kamal Sadanah. Though the film, failed to create ripples at the Indian box office, it was praised by critics for its novelty concept-wise.
