The yesteryears’ classic Jaganmohini made by Vitalacharya is being remade with Namitha playing the role originally played by Jayamalini. This remake has been launched at Ramanaidu Cine village, Nanakramguda in Hyderabad on Monday.
Dasari Narayana Rao gave the clap and Ramanaidu switched on the camera while Tammareddy Bharadwaja directed the first shot.
Raja and Meera Chopra play lead roles in the film. The film is being produced by H Murali under the banner of Murali Cine Arts and directed by NK Viswanathan. Ilayaraja has composed the music for the film.
It is being simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil.
Namitha has lot of under water footage in the film. This mythological film will have lot of graphics and visual effects.
The director says that though the original story has been retained, several changes in the script have been made to make the narration more acceptable to the present day audience.
