Ravi Teja Plays A Football Coach In Sir Osthara

The sports film genre is slowly catching up with Tollywood. After John Abraham’s Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal (2007) and shah rukh khan’s Chak De India (2007) pioneered the Indian sports genre films, the Telugu cinema responded with Sumanth’s Golconda High School.

Now Ravi Teja is playing a football coach in his forthcoming film Sir Osthara which is being produced by Aswini Dutt under his banner of Vyjayanthi Movies and directed by Parasuram who earlier made Anjaneyulu with Ravi Teja. The director’s other film Solo with Nara Rohit has been critically acclaimed.

The story of the film has a football background, but is said to be quite novel in its presentation as Ravi Teja will be seen in a totally different role when compared to his roles in his earlier films. Kajal Agarwal and Richa Gangopadhyay play the female leads in this film. Music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

The film has completed its first schedule of the shooting in Ooty and the second in Switzerland.
