Ramalingaiah’s Statue Unveiled by Chiranjeevi

On October 5, 2014, at Tummalapalli Kalakshetam of Vijayawada, the former union minister and megastar Chiranjeevi revealed the statue of legendary comedy artist late Allu Ramalingaiah. At the event, a large number of mega fans were present to get a glimpse of their favorite hero. Chiranjeevi also gave away ‘Allu Ramaliangaiah Jatheeya Puraskaram’ to Paruchuri Brothers.
In his speech, Chiranjeevi said, “As kesineni Nani said, Ramalingaiah garu’s statue is the first one to be unveiled in new Andhra Pradesh state. As such, he got a rare credit. He is not only a comedy artist, but also a homeopathy doctor, humanist and also a patriot. While interacting with him, I felt like he was a personality development trainer.”
Chiru added that Ramalingaiah used to say that recollecting incidents from the past is waste of time and instead of it we should think about better future and work for it. He praised the artist role in ‘Muthyala Muggu’ and ‘Shankarabharanam’ and said that his dialogue ‘Amyamya’ in ‘Andala Ramudu’ became a synonym for bribing.
About Paruchuri brothers, Chiru said that apart from blood relation, goddess Saraswathi helped them to be united forever.
