Ram Charan’s ‘GAV’ Continues the Custom

Govindudu Andarivadele’ is no different from Ram Charan Teja’s films which get bad reviews on the first day and afterwards they do a good business at the ticket window. This film got an average rating on its first day and even some of the media persons tried to put off the movie by criticizing it to the level they can. But GAV’s good business at the box office gave a tight slap to all those who were criticizing it.
The film collected a whooping amount of 35 crores on its very first week of run. It has surpassed Race Gurram ‘s record and became the one among the top three best opening collections. In the top openers we have on first position Attarintiki Daredi while Charan’s Yevadu occupies the second position. GAV is a family entertainer and it doesn’t have much comedy or mass entertaining sequences. A film of such type getting a good response is not easy.
It is expected that GAV will make it to the forty crore club by the end of this week. GAV has the advantage that it was released during a long holiday period but we can’t deny that the film is made very well. If the reviews about GAV were favorable then it would have done well. The bad reviews have affected film’s business particularly in US. But then also, GAV has done better than previous hits of Ram in US.
