Rajinikanth was not the first choice for Robo

India’s costliest film Robo, ( Enthiran in Tamil and The Robot in Hindi) is now the talk of the country and everyone is waiting for this Rajinikanth-Aishwarya film with great expectations.

In fact, Rajinikanth was not the first choice for the film for director Shankar. He approached Shah Rukh Khan first who rejected the offer because he was planning Ra.One another sci-fi movie which is now on sets. Shankar then approached Kamal Hasan who showed an initial interest but then said no to the project.

As Shankar already made Shivaji, he was able to convince Rajinikanth to act in Robo. The rest, as they say, is history.
