Rajamouli’s father alleges of extortion by CCS cops
Noted film writer and director and SS Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad on Tuesday approached the State Human Rights Commission that the Central Crime Station police beat him up and abused with filthy language after taking off his clothes. “They forced me to sign two cheques each for Rs 30 lakh and forcibly collected Rs 3 lakh on April 16 all at the behest of film producer and former MLA Chengala Venkat Rao,” Vijayendra Prasad told the commission. According to him, he gave Venkat Rao a story in 2004 for which he was not paid nor the story was used. He insisted on either payment or returning the script.
But in return, the producer filed a false complaint against the writer in the court after which the CCS police registered case against Vijayendra Prasad and inquiring. Earlier, the writer and producer worked for Balakrishna‘s Samarasimha Reddy. The producer even attempted suicide sometime ago by jumping in Hussain Sagar after suffering heavy losses in Narasimhudu film. Vijayendra Prasad complained against CCS DCP J Satyanarayana and inspector Sharath Kumar. The commission sought report from Hyderabad Police Commissioner on the entire issue.
