Railway minister Lalu Prasad was so popular in his state of Bihar, that he became a brand name with dolls, firecrackers, Holi colours and even chocolates named after him. According to reports, Pawan Kumar, a Bihari cartoonist, has planned to make 16 animated film clips of two minutes duration each. They would depict the childhood and student days of Lalu, his buffalo rides, skipping school, joining student politics and the JP movement, and his political rise thereafter. Pawan is being assisted by his childhood friend Shashi who has given his voice for the animated Lalu. The background score has been provided by Ratnesh and Gopala from the animation academy at Hyderabad. Lalu is said to have seen a few clips and asked Kumar to complete the project at the earliest.
