After being nominated to the post of a member of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Trust Board, director K. Raghavendra Rao has been doing a lot of service for the benefit of the temple. As he is from a filmy background, Raghavendra Rao had thought of bringing to light more Keerthans of Annamacharya, which have not seen light for all these years. He knew that all the Keerthans which are in vogue are well known among the music lovers. However, there are around 32,000 keerthans penned by Annamacharya and of them only a few thousands (at the most around 3,000 keerthans) are well known. In order to bring more Keerthans to limelight, Raghavendra Rao had proposed a programme titled ‘Annamayya Paataki Pattabhishekam’. Through this programme, he wanted to popularise the other sankeerthans and roped in music director Keeravani to give tunes to all those songs and they will be rendered by popular singers. The programme would be telecast through the Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel and the programme would be hosted by popular singer Sunitha. Announcement of this new programme had created lot of sensation among the audiences and especially among the devotees of Lord Venkateswara. So, get ready for the all new sankeerthans of Annamayya through SVBC channel.
