Puneet Issar’s film I Am Singh on racism
Actor Puneet Issar, popular for his portrayal of Duryodhan in B.R. Chopra’s TV epic serial Mahabharat, has written and directed the film I Am Singh, which deals with discrimination and racism faced by Indians abroad.
The film tells the story of a Sikh boy Ranveer of Punjab. His elder brothers, Balbir Singh and Vikram Singh, are US citizens and run a restaurant there. Ranveer’s parents leave for a holiday to the US to meet their sons. Ranveer receives a call from his mother and he comes to know that his brother Vikram is dead, his father is seriously injured and his elder brother Balbir is missing. The story is a crime thriller and a social drama.
The cast of the film includes Gulzar Chahal, Rizwan Haider, Tulip Joshi, Brooke Johnston and Amy Rasimas.
