Producers Of ‘Mental Police’ To Screen Film To Police Officials First
It is well aware that senior actor Srikant, who rose to the level of hero after playing several small and character artiste roles and also roles with negative shades. He had completed his 100 films sometime ago and is now playing the hero in a film titled ‘Mental Police’. The film had almost completed all the formalities and ready for release. However, at this juncture, the film-makers had received legal notices from the Police Officers’ Association. The police officials also placed a writ petition in the High Court objecting to the title, saying it would hamper the sentiments of police department and pleaded for the change of title. However, ‘Mental Police’ director Karanam P Babji and producers VVSNV Prasad Dasari and VV Durgaprasad Anagani claim that the film would uplift the morale of the police and keep the police personnel and officials on a high pedestal soon after the film’s release. They pleaded with the court that they would screen the film before its release to the police officials of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and even after watching the film, if they continue the objection they would definitely change the title of the movie. The film is being presented by Dasari Arunadevi and Anagani Films and is being made on the banner of Raja Art Productions and A Subramanyeswara Art Creations. Cinematography is by K Bujji while editing is by Tammiraju.
