Veteran Telugu film producer and chief of Bhargava Arts S Gopal Reddy breathed his last in a hospital in Chennai today morning. He was admitted into the hospital last week after he met with an accident.
Actor Balakrishna was a favourite hero of Bhargava Arts. The producer S Gopal Reddy films like Mangamma Gari Manavadu, Muddula Krishnayya, Muvva Gopaludu, Muddula Mavayya and Muddula Menalludu with Nandamuri Balakrishna.

S Gopal Reddy hails from Naidupeta in Nellore district. He is a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He migrated to Chennai in search of business opportunities. He ventured into film financing and later into film production.
He started his film production career with the dubbed film Chilipi Chinnodu in 1979. Later he released the Telugu version of Daham… Daham of K Balachander. From 1983, he became a fullfledged Telugu film producer.
His first film was Manishiko Charithra. He then made Mukkupudaka and Aparadhi. He has made many films with Balakrishna as hero and Kodi Ramakrishna as director.
