Yesteryears Bollywood villain Prem Chopra has been signed up by a Hollywood studio for a crossover film titled “Heartland” which will be directed by directed by double Emmy winning director Fred Holmes.
The story of the film revolves around two villages, one each in Punjab and Texas, USA, and the 73 year old Prem Chopra gets a meaty role as the central character in the story. Though the two villages are in two different hemispheres and culturally apart, the emotions of the people in both the villages are quite similar and this is the theme of the film.
Prem Chopra has acted in more than 400 Hindi and Punjabi films and had not been seen on screen for the past few years. But, director Fred Holmes was said to be keen on playing only Prem Chopra for the role.
Thus, Prem Chopra joins the likes of Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher, Om Puri and Anil Kapoor who have acted in films with international tag.
