The Deols are going ahead with the sequel to the hit comedy caper Yamla Pagla Deewana. The sequel will have Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol playing the main roles, but the female lead actors will change. Kulraj Randhawa is being replaced by Preity Zinta. Even the director Samir Karnik will give way to Sangeeth Sivan.
Yamla Pagla Deewana was a comedy about an older son, who lives with his mother in Canada, visiting India in search of his father and younger brother. The family is finally reunited after several hilarious incidents.
The sequel however has a separate story and Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol will play different characters. Pre-production works are in progress.
Meanwhile, Sunny Deol is shooting for the film Bhaiyyaji Superhit, another comedy film, directed by Niraj Pathak and produced by Chirag Dhariwal, Fauzia Arshi and Sunny Deol himself.
