An NGO called “All India Human Rights and Social Justice Front” is the petitioner, which said that some scenes of the movie are hurting the religious sentiments.
“If you don’t like don’t watch the film. Don’t bring religious facets here. These are matters of entertainment. If you restrict it, it will affect others’ rights. Everything is on the internet. What will you hide?”, said RM Lodha, the Chief Justice of India in his statement.
The apex court also stated that the Indian society is very matured and knows the difference between entertainment and other things.
The petitioner has made Aamir Khan and the director of the film Rajkumar Hirani parties in the case in addition to the Centre and the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
