PIL filed against Aamir Khan’s Ghajini
Pratibha Naithani, a lecturer at St Xaviers College in Mumbai, filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL), in the interest of children, against Aamir Khan’s Ghajini pleading that the film’s censor certification be changed from U/A to A (Adults Only) category.
In the petition, Naithani claimed that the film had intensely affected children across India. She cited media reports about a 3 year old kid in Ahmedabad who inscribed the words Revenge on his body, allegedly inspired by similar tattooing by Amir’s character in the film Ghajini.
The PIL is expected to come up for hearing next week.
