One more copyright case on Robo
Telugu writer Mynampati Bhaskar is said to have served legal notices to Robo film producer Kalanidhi Maran of Sun Pictures and director Shankar for allegedly lifting the story idea from his novel Buddhi Jeevi which was written in 1984. He also claimed that his novel won the first prize in the science fiction novels’ competition conducted by a Telugu weekly.
With this claim, there are totally three writers, two Tamil and one Telugu, who are alleging plagiarism and claiming the story of Robo to be theirs.
If three different authors get the same story idea over a period of time, is it not possible that Shankar also got the same idea in an independent thought process?
