Some time back versatile director Sekhar Kammula in a interview expressed his desire to come with a sequel for his superhit youthful entertainer Happy Days. However now it seems that he dropped his plans for Happy Days sequel as he is currently busy with the remake of Bollywood hit Kahaani.
Speaking to media Kammula said “At present I’m busy preparing myself for ‘Kahaani’ remake and that’s keeping me extremely busy. The idea to remake ‘Happy Days’ is still on but it will take time because I have a bigger priority at hand,” . He went on to add “Since this film (‘Kahaani’) is a bilingual, there’s lot of work involved even before we start shooting. I want to shift all focus on the project and don’t want to have any distractions,” .
Currently Kahaani remake is in pre production activities and buzz is renowned Telugu novelist, Yandamoori Veerendranath, will co-write the adaptation along with Sekhar Kammula.Film which will be made in Hyderabad backdrop will be produced on Endemol India banner.
