‘The Lunchbox’ starlet Nimrat Kaur has been awarded a certificate from Hollywood’s Screen Actor Guils Awards as recognition for her performance in the American TV series ‘Homeland’.
In the fourth season of the political thriller drama Nimrat played the role of Pakistani ISI agaent, Tasneem Qureshi. The entire cast of the show was nominated for the award for best drama. Other nominatiosn include ‘House of Cards’,‘Downtown Abbey’ and ‘Game of Thrones’. The winner turned out to be ‘Downton Abbey’.
The 32-year old actress was excited as her work was notice. She declared the news on Twitter and wrote, Blushing like a school girl! A certificate for keeps. Thank you ever so much SAGawards SHO_Homeland for this!” along with this she also posted a picture of the certificate.
Nimrat was present at the 66th BAFTA awards. At the function her film ‘The Lunchbox’ which also features Irrfan Khan was nominated for the best film in the non-English category.
