After Chiranjeevi decided to float a political party, Nagababu has become hyper active both in the film field and in the pre-launch activities of the party.
Initially, there were reports that VV Vinayak would direct Chiranjeevi in a film with political overtones and social message as a prelude to the launch of the political party. Then plans have changed. The Chiru camp decided that the films of Nagababu, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan Tej would contain elements of the manifesto of the proposed political party.
Nagababu, while touring all over Andhra Pradesh conducting preliminary meetings with fans and followers, has been doing cameos, special characters and protagonist roles in a number of films.
It may not be coincidental that both Nagababu and Pawan Kalyan are playing Police officers in Ek Police and Puli. Nagababu is also reported to have reduced his remuneration to just Rs 50,000 per day.
All the films and the roles Nagababu is playing contain social messages and political commentary. In the film to be produced by B. Vaikunta Rao and directed by LCH Ganesh, the actor plays the character who struggles to bring in social justice. Lot of retired government officers also make their debut as actors in this film.
