Nag’s performance in ‘Oopiri’ outstanding – Tamannah
Nagarjuna and Karthi are sharing the screen for ‘Oopiri’ and Tamannah is pairing opposite Karthi. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, this bilingual film simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil languages is all set to hit the screens across the globe on March 25. Speaking on the occasion, Tamannah says, ‘My character’s name is Keerthi. I am playing the role of a personal assistant to a billionaire. My characterisation in this film would be like a strong woman. Let me make it clear that ‘Oopiri’ is not a remake of a French film ‘Intouchables’. However, the script was penned with an inspiration from the basic plot of the French movie. The director made many changes to suit the Telugu/Tamil nativity. One more point I would like to make it clear that I spoke to the director that I am planning to dub my own voice in Telugu / Tamil and he okayed it. When it comes to Nag, he is a fantastic performer. It is not that easy to sit in wheel chair and give facial expressions to express any feeling. Nag had taken it as a challenge and did that role. I am sure that many artistes of present generation should take inspiration from Nag. When it comes to Bahubali (The Conclusion), the length of my character will be very small. But let me tell you one thing that playing even a small character in that magnum opus in itself is great. Besides, I have one Tamil film ‘Dharma Dorai’ and another film in the direction of Prabudeva, which is a trilingual.’ It may be recalled here that the teaser of ‘Oopiri’ was launched through the hands of Akhil and Naga Chaitanya some five days ago. Over 1 million views were recorded through YouTube for the teaser. The film is all set to hit the screens on March 25th.
