Mohanlal and Jackie Chan will come together to star in an international historic film based on the life and times of Nair-San, to be produced by Morpheus Media Ventures Private Ltd and directed by Albert, a former student of the Film and Television Institute in Chennai.
The director already received three Kerala state awards for his work in Malayalam films. AR Rahman will compose music for this multi-lingual film. The film will be shot extensively in Japan, Inner Mongolia and a few scenes in India.
Nair-San, to be played by Mohanlal, lived from1905 to 1990. He is of Indian origin born to a Tamil father and a Malayalee mother, but lived his life mostly in Japan, where he was actively involved in the freedom struggle against.
Jackie Chan plays a cameo in this film and also directs a few fight sequences.
