Terrorism is becoming the hot favourite with many serious film makers around the world including India. Bollywood’s New York, A Wednesday, Kurbaan and other films dealt with this subject.
Now, the internationally acclaimed director Mira Nair is making a thriller based on Pakistani author Mohsin Hamid’s novel “The Reluctant Fundamentalist”. The film will be set in Lahore, Chile and New York.
The story is about the impact 9/11 had on the life of a young Pakistani Muslim in New York, and requires an intense actor to play the protagonist and Irrfan Khan has been chosen for the role. He already worked in Mira Nair’s films The Namesake and Kosher Vegetarian.
