Michael Douglas’ India sojourn The Michael Douglas’ India sojourn ended on Saturday, the actor jetting on after a low profile trip that was primarily aimed at finalising locales and other production details for his forthcoming movie Racing The Monsoon.

During this part of his trip, he stayed put at the Presidential suite at a Delhi five-star, while his team occupied four other rooms. “He wants to keep this trip a low profile, work-centred one. The decision to not make public appearances is a conscious one,” a member of his entourage said.

Earlier, the Rajasthan part of his tour seemed to charm him. “I am looking forward to working here,” he said as he moved out after spending time at Jodhpur. Perhaps that was also because Michael’s welcome at the Umaid Bhawan palace was nothing short of a royal salute, with a red carpet, camels, elephants and horses part of the paraphernalia.

Dushant Singh, Michael’s points-person while touring locations in Jodhpur, said, “He is very down-to-earth and a highly professional guy. He came here for work, and that is exactly what he did.
