Meera Chopra may quit films
Meera Chopra, known as Nila in the Tamil cinema industry, is said to be seriously thinking of quitting films for good.
The reasons are said to be an impending marriage. However, sources say that she is not getting enough good films and hence the decision to quit. She is likely to settle down in the US.
Meera did her bachelor’s degree from Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan, U.S. After studying mass communications in New York, Meera worked with a leading Indian television channel. Meera Chopra had a stint in the modeling world. Her first film was Anbe Aaruyire produced and directed by S.J. Surya in 2005.
Since then the actress did only 7 films including two films in Telugu, Pawan Kalyan’s Bangaram and MS Raju’s Vaana. Two of her films have not been completed. She is now doing two films Arjun in Kannada and Jaganmohini a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil.
When Ileana, Genelia, Priyamani, Mamatha Mohandas and Charmee have been getting box office hits, Meera had been unlucky. She therefore decided to say good bye to tinsel town. With her professional qualifications, she intends to pursue a career in Journalism.
