Director Bedabrato Pain’s forthcoming film Chittagong starring Manoj Bajpai and Barry John in pivotal roles is getting ready to be shown at film festivals like Cannes, Berlin, Toronto and Venice next year. The film is co-produced by Shonali Bose.
Set in the 1930s British India, the film is a real life story of a 14-year old boy and his journey to find where he belongs. He joins the freedom movement and is forced to confront doubts of his inner self as his world had turned upside down.
The film is already getting inquiries from international film distributors and may be released world-wide next year.
