Karthi, who is well known among the Telugu audiences with his films such as ‘Awara’, was now shot into fame after he featured in a bilingual movie. The Telugu version of the film is titled ‘Oopiri’ and he is sharing the screen with King Nag. During the recent audio launch, Nag termed him as a good actor and he got a brother like Karthi with this film. Once, Karthi worked as an assistant director with Mani Ratnam and now he is going to play a hero in his direction which would be a romantic drama. As per the inside reports, the film would go to sets in June. Karthi was so excited to work with his guru after a gap of 10 years. Karthi in an interview revealed that it would be challenging to convince or impress his guru. ‘If you work hard, he will just say okay as if he is not very much satisfied. If he gives a smile, you can understand that he is satisfied with his performance. In case, if Maniratnam pats on your back, he was so impressed with your performance and Maniratam feels he has got the best shot. These are his moods which I noticed while working with him as assistant director. Now I don’t know whether I will get a pat on my shoulder or could at least satisfy him and see a smile on his face.
