Comedian Mallikarjuna Rao is no more
Noted comedian Mallikarjun Rao is no more. He breathed his last at Apollo Hospital this morning. He was admitted to Apollo Hospital three days ago. Mallikarjun Rao has been suffering from Leukamia for quite some time.
Mallikarjun Rao is one of the senior most Comedians in Tollywood. Hailed from Anakapally, Mallikarjuna Rao acted in around 375 telugu movies. Became popular with role of ‘Battala Satyam’ in Ladies Tailor directed by Vamsi. He won the Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film ‘Tammudu’.
Ladies Tailor, Hello Brother, Tammudu and Badri are some of the films in which Mallikarjuna Rao excelled audience with his comedy.
Popular Telugu Actor, writer Tanikella Bharani treats Mallikarjuna Rao as his guru and to his credit Mallikarjuna Rao introduced LB Sriram, actor cum writer to director Vamsi, who gave chance to LB Sriram in his movie.
He is the general secretary of the Movie Artists Association. He also served as the chairman of the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Srinagar colony.
The news of his news death came as a big shock to everyone in Tollywood. A host of actors and technicians are rushing to Apollo to pay their last respects to Mallikarjun Rao. His last rites would be performed at his native village near Anakapalli.
