Mallanna, GGG and social responsibility
Films are basically meant to entertain. If they can also educate or motivate people to do some good to society, then it is all the more welcome. The producers of the Vikram starrer Mallanna are doing a great job by adopting poor villages. The unit of the film has adopted a few villages in Tamil Nadu and two villages in Andhra Pradesh. They plan to adopt more villages in future.
On the other hand, Vamis’s new film Gopi, Gopika and Godavari with Kamalini Mukherjee as heroine has just commenced shooting. The story is about a set of people who run a mobile clinic on a boat on Godavari River and offer medical treatment to patients in far off island villages. A voluntary organization was very much impressed with the story of the film and decided to start a mobile boat clinic.
Vamsi was happy with the development and he promptly offered financial assistance for their noble idea to run a mobile clinic on river Godavari
