Filmmaker Krishna Shah has signed up Madhuri Dixit in the film “Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story” where the veteran actress enacts the role of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. This film will be made in two parts and this bio-pic has a big budget.
The shooting of the film starts in the first quarter of next year and will release in 2011. The director Krishna Shah said that lot of research has gone into the subject and in this film the motherly aspect of the late prime minister would be focused more than her politics. The film will be in Hinglish, a mixture of Hindi and English.
Madhuri Dixit is excited about this role and feels this film will be her magnum opus in her cinema career.
