Maa Annayya Bangaram Movie Review 1
Maa Annayya Bangaram not 24 carat for sure!
Shivaji (Rajasekhar) is eldest of seven brothers. He is father, mother everything to his brothers. They cannot stay single day without seeing each other.
Their uncle (Jayaprakash Reddy) helps them in every aspect and asks Shivaji to get married. Shivaji is reluctant to marry till all of his six brothers settle in life. That means he has to wait for nearly two decades.
Shivaji’s brothers insist him to get married and they go on strike. Shivaji condition for marriage is that his brothers should like their would be sister-in-law.
After several trials, they like Kamalini Mukherji. Kamalini’s sister Jhani’s marital life is in trouble. So she insists her sister’s marriage to be performed with a small family person (not a big joint family).
Here, Shivaji’s family is big and if he tells the reality, he may not get Kamilini Mukherji to whom he is attracted at the first sight.
Kamalini too loves hero for his helping nature observed at the time of school bus accident. Shivaji tells a lie that he has only one brother.
After their marriage the truth comes out that the remaining five members are Shivaji’s blood brothers. Kamalini goes to her sister’s home.
Jhansi puts a condition that if Shivaji wants his wife back, he has to send his five brothers from home. Shivaji did not like the condition and returns home.
Now, Jayaprakash Reddy got an idea and sends all five brothers out of home in the name of various jobs / training.
Shivaji’s another uncle (Shayaji Shinde) villain in the movie who has thrown Shivaji and his brothers from home tell the fact that one of his brothers is not in Army but is working in his quarry. Shivaji comes to know that all of his brothers are in the city and they are staying to keep their sister-in-law with his brother for which they had given a promissory note to Jhansi.
How the brothers unite forms the rest of the story. Kamalini Mukherji delivery scene reminds us 3 Idiots scene. The climax is not that convincing. Shayaji Shinde is wasted.
This film is so sentimental about brothers’ relation and family (joint family) values. Comedy is given a miss except with youngest brother.
Few songs are picturised in beautiful foreign locales. SA Raj Kumar music is average. Family audience may like this movie.
