The Regional Censor Board had objected to the song “Barso Re” from Vipul Shah’s “London Dreams” because the song contains few verses from Hanuman Chalisa and tuned in rock version on grounds that sentiments could be hurt.
Shah moved the Censor Tribunal and explained to them the rationale behind the song and its placement. In the film Salman Khan plays a simple Punjabi who believes all his problems will be solved by chanting Hanuman Chalisa.
After being rejected by Revising Committee also, Shah approached the Censor Tribunal with a slight modification to the song where the wotds “Hanuman ki jai” had been added which will be chanted by the crowd as Salman sings the song.
“London Dreams” features Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and Asin in the lead roles and is getting ready for release next month.
