Lara Dutta to host Indian version of Extreme Makeover

Bollywood actress Lara Dutta is reported to have signed up to host the Indian version of the popular American TV show Extreme Makeover. This is an original television programme from ABC in which individuals volunteered to receive an extensive makeover in Hollywood. The show was created by television producer Howard Schultz. It first aired as a television special. It began airing in 2002. A total of 55 episodes were produced. The show’s first surgeon was Dr Garth Fisher of Beverly Hills, California.

The Indian version, yet to be given a title, will have an all-women cast with 14 contestants. These girls will be given a complete makeover in terms of hair, make-up and dress appeal.

In fact, earlier there was an Indian version of Extreme Makeover called Naya Roop Nayi Zindagi which did not get any popularity. But the new show which will be hosted by Lara Dutta will be designed in a more interesting and appealing manner.

Right at present, Lara is busy shooting for Shah Rukh Khan starrer Don 2 and the preliminaries of releasing her home production Chalo Dilli.
