With the election scene getting spruced up day by day through alliances and the hunt for a party ticket, many politicians and freshers are looking out for safe havens to win particularly in view of the delimitation of constituencies.
A strong rumour that is making its rounds in political circles is that actor-producer Krishnam Raju is likely to leave BJP and join the Congress party. Raju won on the BJP ticket from Narsapur in 1999 and was also a minister in the NDA government. In 2004, he lost.
It is reported that the Congress has offered him the Narsapur seat. However, the BJP sources are denying the news of Raju’s party change.
