Kate Hudson to shoot for Mira Nair’s film in Delhi
Hollywood star Kate Hudson will be arriving in Delhi in November to shoot for Mira Nair’s adaptation of Mohsin Hamid’s bestseller titled The Reluctant Fundamentalist. The film has completed its initial schedules of shooting at Atlanta and New York.
The film’s star cast includes Hollywood stars Riz Ahmed, Liev Schreiber and Kiefer Sutherland. The Indian actors in the cast include Shabana Azmi, Om Puri and Adil Hussain. The film will be shot in some suburbs of the old Delhi and a special set is also being erected to get the ambience of Pakistani bazaars and other aspects.
Nair’s movie narrates the story of a young Pakistani (played by Riz) working on Wall Street whose life drastically changes following the 9/11 attacks.
Riz Ahmed had earlier filmed for Michael Winterbottom’s Trishna with Frieda Pinto in Rajasthan. He will also give a music concert at Pune on November 20.
