Kareena Kapoor’s Heroine: A Take On Stars’ Fates
Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming film Heroine, starring Kareena Kapoor in the principal role, is not based on the life and times of any actress, past or present, but only the reflection of the arduous and difficult work culture of the actors and their relationship problems.
Most people assume that film celebs have a glorious life style. Contrary to that opinion, the film Heroine will show the trials, travails and tribulations of the stars and their troubled lives. Kareena Kapoor’s character in the film showcases the the extreme stress and strain an actor undergoes in the film industry.
The director, who won three National Film Awards, is known to make the female as the protagonist in his films : Tabu in Chandni Bar, Raveena Tandon in Satta, Konkona Sen Sharma in Page 3, bipasha basu in Corporate, priyanka chopra in Fashion and now, Kareena Kapoor in Heroine.
Madhur Bhandarkar says, “My movies are not exposes, maybe they just hold up a mirror to society. My movies are not judgmental; I just show what happens in our society, sometimes there could be a solution and sometimes there may be none. Life goes on.”
