Karan Johar on a filming spree
Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is busy with three films now and plans two more and his calendar is full up to next year.
The film Dostana, starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, and Priyanka Chopra will be released on November 14. This film is directed by Tarun Mansukhani and the music is composed by Vishal-Shekhar, the audio of which will hit the market on September 30.
Karan is also producing another film, tentatively titled, Wake Up Sid, which would be directed by young Ayan Mukherji with Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma and planned for release in September 2009. This is a feel good film with a youthful theme.
Karan’s third film stars Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Vivek Oberoi. Writer Rensil D’Silva, who wrote the screenplay for the award winning film Rang De Basanti makes his directorial debut with this yet to be titled film. This is an action thriller with international terrorism as its canvas. The film would be ready for release by August 2009.
In addition, Karan is making an animation version of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. His other project stars his friend Shah Rukh Khan in the film titled My name is Khan which goes to floors in November 2008.
