Karan Johar of Dharma Productions has purchased the Hindi remake rights of a French romantic comedy Heartbreaker which starred Romain Duris, Vanessa Paradis, Julie Ferrier and Andrew Lincoln and directed by Pascal Chaumeil.

The story of the film is about Alex, his sister and her husband who operate a business specializing to break relationships. The three characters design elaborate plans to deceive the women and break their bonds with their lovers. While deceiving one woman, Alex falls in love with her.

Karan posted on Twitter: “Actually in London to acquire the rights of a superb French film! If all goes well the French film will translate beautifully into an Indian love story.”
