Kalabhavan Mani Passed Away

Kalabhavan Mani, who has become popular with Venkatesh’s film Gemini, as a villain is no more. This popular Malayali comedian, character artiste and villain is known for his antics which proved to be hilarious for the audiences. He is a versatile artiste and is multi-faceted personality. He was suffering from liver related problems and was unwell for the past some time. He was admitted to a private hospital (Amrita Hospital) in Kochi and his death was due to the consumption of methyl alcohol. He is just 45-year-old and is survived by his wife, Dr Nimmy, a veterinary doctor, and daughter Sri Lakshmi. Mani had also portrayed in Maheshbabu’s film Arjun. His last film in Telugu is Rajanikant’s Robot. Kalabhavan Mani had won the National Film Award and Kerala State Film Award for his performance in Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njaanum in 1999.
