Julayi Movie Review 2
‘Julayi’, a sigh of relief for actor Allu Arjun and his fans, whose earlier flicks failed to, score on silver screen.
IN AND OUT:
‘Julayi’ telugu movie is an attempt made by Maverick Director Trivikram, with a thin story line, says ‘Making Easy Money, is not that much Easy and it Invites unwanted hardships’.
‘Ravindra Narayan’ (Allu Arjun) believes in easy money, where as his father ‘Narayana Murthy’ (Tanikella Bharani) warns and challenges him. Ravindra (Allu Arjun) confesses his suspicion about Bank Robbery by Bittu (Sonu Sood) and gang, when he was surrounded by Police in a club during an IPL Cricket League Match betting, which in reality is true and this money belongs to Co-Operative Bank, and is people’s money. How Ravindra brings this money back to bank forms rest of the story.
Like all Trivikram’s earlier films, ‘Julayi’ too had logical screen-play, hilarious comedy and punch dialogues. Interestingly this was Trivikram’s first movie without casting his best friend Comedian turned Hero Sunil. Director’s idea of broadcasting an Age Old Telugu Pebble in Aakashavani Radio, when Ravindra (Allu Arjun) meets Bittu (Sonu Sood) and concluding same Pebble towards climax is noteworthy. Towards Climax, it appears that Trivikram became mediocre Director, no Trivikram’s mark on Climax.
Songs placing is a major let down for this marquee except for first two songs and ‘Pakdo Pakdo’ song. Songs like ‘Chakkani Bike Vundi’ and ‘Osey Osey’ completely lets down the show. Music by Devi Sri Prasad is OK and back ground score is top notch. Cinematography by Chota K Naidu and Shyam K Naidu is top class and is pleasant. Allu Arjun’s dances for Raju Sundaram choreography are to be mentioned.
Comedy of Combo Brahmanandam and Rajendra Prasad brings laugh. MS Narayana too had his own share of comedy. Illeana has tonned an OK role and she looks too thin. No importance has given to her role, except dragging screen time. Kota Srinivasa Rao, Rao Ramesh and other actors did justice to their roles.
FINAL TOUCH: Allu Arjun entertains as ‘Julayi’ with splendid performance and Trivikram’s Comedy may bring repeated audience. Overall ‘Julyai’ is a neat and clean movie, with simple message showcased on big canvas.
