Jagapatibabu To Play Villain Opposite Chiranjeevi In ‘Kathilantodu’

Though the prestigious 150th film of Mega Star Chiranjeevi was formally launched and the selection of director is okayed with VV Vinayak wielding the megaphone. However, the regular shooting of the film is being postponed again and again for various reasons. However, the film is in the news with reports pouring in from the film unit. It is well aware that the film is the remake of a successful movie ‘Kathi’ and the film is being made with a tentative (working) title ‘Kathilantodu’. Chiranjeevi, of course, is the hero of the movie but the selection of heroine is still pending and there are reports that the film makers approached Anushka and appealed her to adjust dates for the movie. Though she is busy with Bahubali (The Conclusion) and ‘Bhagmati’ movies, she had agreed to adjust dates but the final word has not yet come from her. Now what about the villain? Earlier it was planned to rope in Vivek Oberoy to play the role played by Thotarai Choudary. Later, they opted for Aravind Swamy. But they finalised Jagapati Babu to play the negative role. Chiranjeevi after getting impressed with the performance of Jagapatibabu in ‘Legend’ who played the villain opposite Balakrishna, has confirmed him as the villain. Let us wait and watch what kind of performance would be by Chiru and Jagapatibabu.
