Jaffa Movie Review
Popular comedian Brahmanandam came as Jaffa playing lead role in the film under the direction of Vennela Kishore. Let us see what impact he made on movie lovers.
Police arrest Jasmine Faluda aka Jafa (Brahmanandam), software engineer as his colleague commits suicide placing a note metioning Jafa’s name. From then on Jafa tries to solve prisoners problems and in the process becomes friend of Jailer Viki (Vennela Kishore). Jafa tries to escape from jail with Jailer’s help but the plan backfires. What happens next forms the plot of the story.
Brahmanandam has no scope for performance in the role but he excels in the role with is trade mark expressions which are possible only to him. Though there are other comedians like Ali,Raghu Babu, Vennela Kishore and others they couldn’t do much due to lackluster script.
Vennela Kishore who smarts himself to be the most creative director spoiled the film with his insipid and senseless screenplay. He proceeded with the film with out having proper storyline and though that could be made up with creative screen play he spoiled that chance also. To the top of it, Kishore did not have any comedy scenes for either Brahmi or any other comedians which is the major drawback. First half leaves people pray for mercy but second half punishes them for their prayers.
Production values are fine but editing is below average. Vennela Kishore’s direction is below average. Already there are opinions that he should stop directing such films and torture movie lovers.
A senseless film one should avoid from becoming Jaffas!
