The Performances
Thespian Naseeruddin Shah makes you believe that only he can portray this role so convincingly. Arshad Warsi is energetic and ebullient. Vidya Balan comes out with another memorable performance. She is agile, aggressive and astounding. All others perform competently in their nicely etched roles.

The Techniques
The story and dialogues by Vishal Bharadwaj are typical and interesting. The asset of the film is the screenplay written by Vishal Bharadwaj, Abhishek Chaubey, and Sabrina Dhawan. Bollywood should heartily welcome Abhishek Chaubey who proved to be such a wonderful director in his debut film. Mohana Krishna’s cinematography amply captures the rustic beauty. Editing by Namrata Rao is crisp and adds to the narration value. Music by Vishal is another plus point. Sound design enhances the narration value. The presentation of the film is very good.
